LOL . . . “It was a dark and stormy night” The go to lead in if you have the block! Plus like Mickey mentions, that pencil drawing is pretty damn good! I like the herringbone shading pattern, love stuff like that, and you are a good writer, like your mom said.
You’re on it like a bonnet, Mase!

geo, you are a champion! AND you do awesome cartoons too.
McMac,
A pretty old cartoon, that one; I did it in my teen years. I did a new one just days ago to support my last story in WATM of Guido crashing through the ceiling.

You drew the cartoon as well?? Sigh. I can barely draw stick figures.
I would actually be in trouble if I were to try to draw a stick figure.
geo
Oh my goodness, Geo! Do your skills and gifts never end?? Love this! Looking forward to more.
Well, Ms. Susan… I don’t reckon there is.

Ha! I knew it! Legend!
Geo meets beat poet. I love how Poe gave up on cheery stuff and went to his first love. You’re rockin’ all of it Geo.
It is a Haiku so it was tough to meet the meter. Thanks so much, Shooten-man!

Nice 5-5-7s. Success can be quite the double-edged sword… I find it’s harder for me to write when the audience starts to squish in behind the shiny chrome steering wheel and offer opinions or praise from the plush leather passenger seats. Sometimes I have to create a vacuum–no engraved stone, no stellar ranking, no meritorious priors–and approach a new project as though it’s just me and the words. And maybe a little room for hope that someone out there I’ve never encountered will stumble across them someday and say, hey, me too.
I now officially love you.

And people flocked to the wielding of his pen because it was sincere, and real, and backed up by a God given talent for cheeky humor. A rare bird, they say.
Amen!
Shucks, Ms. Susanh…
geo
Dayum Ryan, you should write for us!
Right, brother Mase??
geo
Holy hell… that was amazing, rynosbucket. I fear people like you who feign being just a reader.
Sincere compliments,
