Okeanos

The dark waves descend,
And crash on the rocky shore.
As bright stars congeal
Into a belt of white suns,
I am emptied, and fulfilled.

“Theo Dyssean” is an internationally unknown expert in asking questions, finding answers, not getting caught, and not getting killed [and/or eaten by bears]. He enjoys moonlit runs down dark alleyways, and romantic evenings working through an interpreter who speaks less of the target language than he does. His hobbies include being in the wrong place at the wrong time, knowing where the exits are, being the fastest runner in the room, borrowing bikes, and sleeping in HVAC ducts. His religious and political views tend to orbit dominantly around Bobby Finstock’s Three Rules.

My beloved Tethys—
nestled in the opening,
when the heart of Pangea
was divided asunder—
betrothed herself once
to mighty Okeanos,
Titans of the Sea!

I forget that in
geological
terminology,
Greek mythology abounds. 😍

Fitting. The other night while in FL, I wandered out to the beach about 11 p.m. Where we stayed there is little development, if any. The stars were brilliant, numerous and thick across they sky. So dense, you could actually see a smear of brightness from the spiral arm of our galaxy cutting through them.
